This is my first French press. It's easy to use, you can't mess it up BUT I didn't realize you had to put in boiling water and not try to heat it on the stove.. good thing I didn't put it on the open flame bc I'm not sure if the carafe would break.. other than that for my first French press for $9 I couldn't go wrong !
Worth a couple more bucks!

Important to know: the glass carafe comes out of the stainless steel frame, which I find to be a nice feature and allows me to more easily clean the carafe. The tempered glass is supposed to be stronger than regular glass which has been useful for me as I tend to be rough on my kitchen tools. Additionally, the strainer works quite well with a paper filter, which I use to reduce sediment. RG.
