Fits about right. Good value, inexpensive addition to riding gear.

I'm 6ft, 225lbs with a 30" inseam in jeans/slacks or a 31" inseam when wearing riding boots (both based on 1" from floor). I ordered the 38" variety of these since my jeans fitment is somewhere between 36"-38" depending on the cut and manufacturer. Reading the reviews on these, I figured it they're a bit big, that's better than a bit snug.
I found it easier to unzip the upper leg portions and rezip them than trying to put these on like regular pants. The jeans would bunch up and as others have noted, the thighs aren't roomy. BUT, that's because chaps aren't supposed to be loose fitting (at least not like relaxed fit jeans). Once on, zipped, and buttoned up, they felt fine. I was able to pull the belt line on the chaps about an inch or two above my jeans' belt line, and that made the chaps snug to the crease of my crotch -I don't wear my chaps that way, but wanted to see if I could pull them all the way up. I adjusted the fitment so that the chaps belt sat right above my jeans belt and the fitment on the thighs and around the groin adjusted so I wouldn't be pinched.
I wore these over jeans and rode 375 miles over 7 hours the first time I wore them (all same day, same ride). This was mostly highway riding. They were the perfect length to set right on top of my boots when seated on my motorcycle. There was slight bunching of the leather behind the knee, but this happens with most thick riding pants/chaps. I was able to un-bunch the chaps buy just a simple pulling of the leather.
The 2nd wearing of the chaps, I rode 450 miles over 9 hours (all same day, same ride). About 120 miles were on the Blue Ridge Parkway and surrounding mountains, which meant I was a bit more active in my seat during the curves, than straight highway riding. I wore them over my Iron Workers Riding Chinos w/ the armor knees pads (see photo). The chinos are a bit longer than my jeans but fit perfectly beneath the chaps. The nice things about wearing these two together are: 1) The chaps held the knee armor in place and 2) Didn't allow the wind to blow my pants 1/2 way up my shins.
At no point during my 2nd wearing of these did I feel as though they were causing me discomfort or affecting my ability to ride/maneuver my bike. I was concerned that I'd have issues w/ them being new, stiff, and not broken in yet, but frankly, I was fine and did NOT having to walk like Frankenstein's monster in them. After a couple of uses, I've decided to keep them and use them regularly. I had intended to re-sell them after this trip and then buy something else. At this price point and comfort, they're worth hanging on to.

For the price point these are good leather chaps. After mink oil and some minor trimmings on the legs they are perfect for what I need. I would recommend these to anyone taking a long ride .
