I knew from all the good reviews on here and YT it would be pretty good… BUT

Its actually WAY BETTER THAN THAT. I take it due to alot of the video reviews being 1-3 years old you will see a more two-toned "shop fox" looking style that they used to have. And for all the people that say ITS ALMOST ALL PLASTIC"¦ uhh yeah. why do you think its not $600+ bare saw like a Festool?
Trying to avoid buying replacement table saw for the one that finally croaked. I was gonna do anything to avoid shelling out 3-500 on small box that cant rip barely more than a foot either way with out upgrading or heavy customization. being that Track Saws altough have been around forever are actually the NEW IN THING"¦
1st Attempt.. Kreg Acu Cut and Rip Cut using my ridgid gen5x cordless 7.25" I had been told its best even with the little reminder latch to pick a saw for that shoe and leave it in there"¦ easy setup, cut the rubber make zero clearance (*well they say that but can having a full side open to the elements be zero closure? Meh) okay but tried all the FIXES and still too much slop (aka wobble while movingup and down track ) especially with harder materials, the rip cut pretty damn handy and alot easier to use but dont excpect to use either to rip sheet goods.
2nd Attempt.. attempting to get no slop on the chop, maybe its the system? its not much but i dont want to re trim or cut every cut i do right? Thought hmmm this BORA NGX (the newest one) looks cool and even have jigsaw and router attachments to the track"¦ WELL. TOOK BACK TO LOWES SAME DAY ENOUGH SAID.
3rd Attempt"¦ Evolution tools, 7.5" bi-cutting with 40" of track(seriously who the hell wants 40" guides? well everyone else expect here int the states I guess). Plenty of power great saw, but it really wasnt a track saw.. it was mearly a circ saw that came with a custom shoe for tracks. no locking, no scribing, plunge, etc..
Final Attempt. this little devil! solid think plastic, several knobs for removing any slop, an anti kickback (can be removed, ussually its just a pain at first when you want to back up but you get the hang on flicking it, id leave it on ) easy no blade movement depth setup, you dont have to have the saw suspeneded to set your depth, and even an actual track locking device / BUT MAKE SURE WHEN YOU SET THE SAW ON THE TRACK YOU MUST FIRST HIT THE ANTI KICKBACK KNOB TO FULLY SEAT THE SAW THEN USE THE LOCKING KNOB.
Last thoughts, just do it scaredy cat! You wont regret, especially if you havent used a track saw, so much safer than a table and way more versitle with a little setup, Use the pink foam insulation pads I use the 2" and cut one down to barely lip the 55" guide to use clamps if needed or if placing on a table. Then cut a long one for full sheet rips and viola. And if you want to be even cooler, like me, dont laugh"¦. just get the the NEWER WEN GUIDE RAILS way cheaper than a POWERTEC setup and the newer ones have attachent with screws but also have spacers that go on the front and back really no difference i actually like the wen ones better (i have both) but dig into the tax refund a little more and get the RUGGED TOOLS guide rail carry bag.. super welll made, matching color scheme and I use it to hold my manual and carbon brushes in zipper back and in zip front holds the wen clamps"¦ HOPE THIS HELPS and BTW dont freaking compare this to a festool or anything like that because one is 900 with tracks and one is umm not.. Expect that its powerful enough to do what you neeed ( i did bog down just playing around ripping through two 3/4" MDFs stacked together about 3 feet into cut but let it sit and re enagaged but thats not a very normal cutting scenario i was just testing it. Cheers!

Great entry/mid level track saw
Josh Scott✓ Verified Purchase•September 2, 2023
I've had this saw now for about 3 years and I use it regularly. It gets tossed around here and there and still true to the track. It can me a little underpowered for cutting through hardwood glue ups more than an inch thick, so multiple passes are needed to prevent blade burning and bogging of the motor. I've been very happy, but as I begin to use it more and more, it's evident that an upgrade is due. For the price though, you can't beat what it is if you're just getting into track saws!
Works with Makita & Milwaukee
Kilo Whiskey✓ Verified Purchase•August 19, 2023
I needed to source tracks for my Milwaukee track saw. For some reason Milwaukee doesn't have the tracks available but they exist...somewhere.
The Wen tracks are compatible with the Makita and Milwaukee track saws - including the anti-tip so your bevel cuts won't be anything to worry about.
The tracks also ship with end caps to protect the track as well as a hole in the end of the tracks so that you can hang them. The ends of the tracks are a bit rough which you can fix - for the price features, there's nothing to complain about.
If you need to source tracks for your Makita or Milwaukee and can't find the factory tracks or need to save money to get your track saw going...here you go.

Great plunging track saw for non-commercial use
Dunny✓ Verified Purchase•July 20, 2023
When I say it's great for non-commercial use, that is only to say I am using it in a home workshop. I can't say how well it would hold up in a commercial shop.
I've been using this saw for about a year now and have absolutely no complaints. It is well-built (even attractive in its way), accurate, reliable, a heckuva bargain (even buying the tracks along with it, this thing was less than half the price of the next closest one at the time). I gush about its awesomeness to anybody who asks and sometimes to people who very clearly have no interest. XD
Today I realized I had never come back here to leave a review, so here I am.
I was looking for a plunging track saw and this was basically the only one I found at the price point I was willing to go, at least until I could be sure it was even what I needed. I did follow a piece of advice I saw in the earlier reviews and ordered a Makita B-07353 165mm X 20mm Carbide Tipped Blade at the outset (which is awesome as well). As such, I don't have any experience with the stock blade that comes with it and can't attest to its quality.
As a newbie to both track saws and plunge saws, it only took about twenty minutes to become completely comfortable with this saw and its functions. The projects I had lined up required a lot of interior cuts and the Wen CT1065 greatly increased both my efficiency and accuracy. I haven't touched my old circular saw since I got this. It's an absolute triumph.
If you are, as I was, new to this species of saw, this is a great one to start and grow with.

Great saw for the price

This is a great little saw. Re-covered stair treads and risers and this did an excellent job. Recommend the clamps for the track!
