Solid and good-looking for the money, but boy what a ride to get here!
Blaise Hartley✓ Verified Purchase•September 8, 2023
This unit is solid and made better than average for an "assemble it yourself" deal. It looks good in our corner, and has a surprising amount of storage space.
That said, the "getting it here" part had some bumps. When the package arrived, well: What I expected was a big burly box with a wall of padding material between the box and the parts inside; What I got was a not very big box with all the corners crushed in, and *shattered* pieces of mahogany-finished particle board and fiber board that had apparently been packed right up against the cardboard visible through the divots. Needless to say, I sent the first one back.
The second time, I got the box I was now expecting, with still-crushed in corners. This time, I was desperate, because we were having guests in a few days, so I decided to unpack it and see if maybe the broken boards I could see sticking out might be in less-visible places on the unit. I opened the box, and was instantly covered, head to toe, in particles of ground styrofoam packing sheets. It took me over an hour just to get all the parts out and the styrofoam vaccumed free of the parts, the floor, me, and the ceiling. Once I did this, I discovered that I wasn't sure if I wanted to kiss or murder the person responsible for packing at Home Source, because I discovered that all parts were completely intact, but that the mahogany-finished boards from around the outside of the box were actually sacrificial packing materials, not parts of the unit.
I was happy to have my undamaged product, but a tad chagrined at the lost weekend on the one I sent back! Also, I think I may have developed a styrofoam allergy from the massive exposure...
Otherwise, be prepared for a slightly challenging assembly process. There were over 25 structural components, and *bags* of hardware lettered A-Z. There was also an assembly manual with approximatley two sentences of text, neither one of which was remotely intelligible (Something about "most the important dowel use", I think?), and 14 steps, each of which has six to tem activities. While complex, it's a relatively straightforward process, so the pictures generally suffice.
Important Notes:
1) Get your own wood glue for the "most important dowels", because the one tube they give you runs out less than half-way through.
2) Do *NOT* lose any hardware, because there are *NO* extras, of *ANYTHING*. I spent 20 minutes digging in the garbage for a pair of screws that rolled out of one of the 26 bags of hardware into my waste pile...
All in all, I'm quite happy with the result, regardless of how arduous the process getting here was!

The media could not be loaded. Assembly: (see my video)
It takes 3-4 hrs to assemble it. It takes common and logical sense too because some steps in the instruction sheet are not accurate and precise. The most challenging part was the installation of the door when you assemble the other locking mechanism. And it's always best to start the assembly by laying all the pieces separately in a wide floor space and all hardware components and tools in an alphabetical order separately for easy access and efficient process overall.
Final Product:
It definitely is a perfect piece for the corner of my living room right beside my terrace door. I've read some early reviews here that showed the mirrors having that visible reflection of the wood glue behind them but mine has none - which I guess the manufacturer has corrected already. The height is also a perfect fit against the ceiling.
Delivery:
It was on time and packaged very well and secured for a fragile piece of furniture.

I normally don't write reviews. But this unit has compelled me to do so. I like every aspect of it. Whether the look, sturdiness, price and elegance. I have added the light, because of the generosity of Mercury who posted the link below for the light in its photo. While it takes time to assemble, the length of time depends on one's ability to put things together. So, that shouldn't have an effect on the unit's review. I have no complaint what so ever regarding this unit, and I strongly recommend it. SIX STARS (with one invisible)

On of the pieces they made the holes too forward and now the wood part sticks out. All the other pieces were good. Love the way it looks!
