Can be flown by 6 year old no problem

I bought this for my nephew who is six years old and I thoroughly expected him to crash it in a few minutes and break it apart. I'm happy that it did not happen.
Additionally, his strategy of just holding the throttle down and not steering at all, using his other finger to point, worked perfectly. The plane would fly up higher and higher above the trees, occasionally turning with the wind.
It took him a bit of practice to master throwing it himself. It took hard nosedives a few times.
He loved it. It's cheap, and works well for what it is.

This is a very mild flyer. It lacks power and control to do any stunts (rolls, loops, etc.). It uses differential thrust to the two motors for steering. Initially, you need to reduce the power to about half throttle to avoid endless "porpoising" as it will rise, stall, fall, and rise again if you use too much power. It will turn in a 10-15 foot space if you keep enough power to slowly gain altitude in straight flight, and thus avoid losing altitude in the turns (You need a bit more power for a turn than for level flight--not surprising). I had a flight time of almost 20 minutes--until finally full throttle was not enough to stay airborne.
My only disappointment was that mine was missing a charge cord (instruction manual says there is one included), requiring me to find another way to recharge the batteries. It is durable at the slow flying speed, which is good as the learning curve for newbies might require several minutes of crashes. In time, I will try to trim the tail elevator to limit stalls while allowing for flat turns.

Great plane for the money. It is foam but it's pretty flexible and durable to crashes. I took it out of the box and went straight to flying it outside. It doesn't really like the wind but even in a stronger breeze, it flys no problem. Besides being a tiny controller, I haven't had any trouble with signal or controls for the plane. The controller has a little compartment that perfectly fits the spare props which is really smart design. The charger is a little weird because you have to plug it into the charging block before you plug it in the wall otherwise it won't work. Other than that it surprised me on how much fun you can get out of a $40 rc plane

This is such a great little plane. My 4 year old wanted a remote control plane for Christmas and I had super low expectations on him successfully flying and it lasting. This has turned out to be a great little plane for him. He flies it inside and outside and our house is small. He just loves it. He does have good dexterity though and has been obsessed with anything remote control since he was 18 months old. The greatest fear we have when using this plane is our rascal of a dog sinking his teeth into it. For the price I think its worth it. comes with 3 batteries and and extra set of propellers

I haven't flown an RC plane in over 15 years. I picked this one up with three batteries for around $30 USD. I purchased it with the mindset of if it doesn't work or breaks the first day, oh well.
I was pleasantly surprised how fun and easy it is to fly! All my children, ranging in age from 12-16, have soloed with it already! After three days of flying around the backyard, think we have a pretty good feel for the plane.
One key note, if you can feel a breeze on your face, it's probably too much wind. We usually fly it around sunset as the breeze settles down. Just a light breeze rocks and buffet the 10/11 ounce airplane around.
We haven't had any issues with the batteries. We pushed all three to around 14-15 minutes each. We set a timer for 13 minutes to bring the plane in for a landing. One thing to note, we're easy on the throttle, so I'm sure thats why we have longer flight times.
The packaging is nice and it serves as a nice carrying case.
The transmitter is small and basic. Throttle, left and right directional control and left and right trim. There's a L/H button which I'm assuming is High and Low rates, but I can't really tell a difference.
