I have been using these silicone gaskets since 2020. A pack of three will last you for 2-3 years. They have long durability and do not produce a "rubbery" scent/flavor on the coffee. I like the fact that silicone is FDA grade and that these are made in Italy. This is the real deal in Italy, Portugal, Spain, etc. And they KNOW their coffee. You cannot go wrong with these silicone gaskets and filter screen. I usually use this stove coffee maker to produce similar to espresso coffee quality without a fancy/expensive machine. I use my coffee maker twice a day, everyday. These gaskets last!

After regularly using my Garrett Wade cafetière for seven months or so (3-6 times/week), the rubber gasket has started to get looser, and I became concerned that I wouldn't be able to continue using it, so I went on the hunt for some new gaskets. Decided to try these out as I liked the idea of the silicone as well as a backup mesh screen.
Put one right in when I got them and have been using it for a few weeks time. Works great from the first cup! I measured extremely carefully, so the size was just what I expected. My espresso maker came with a rubber seal. The first time I forgot to add water and put it on the heat, the seal melted before I realized what I had done. When looking for a replacement seal I found these silicone ones and thought they would be more heat resistant (read: idiot proof). I have used it a few times now and it is great! It makes a better seal more easily. It is much easier to clean. Though the stiffness makes it more difficult to remove so the screen can come out for cleaning. I am happy to say, I have not yet tested the heat resistance that was the reason for my purchase (and God willing I never will ) but I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend these.

So much better than the rubber washers. Seals tight with a light twist. Much easier to disassemble without great effort too. Much less likely to break off the handle when it's easier to twist off.
