works very well - mounting tricky

This rides perfectly. Only noisy if empty. Nice and wide - fits all my dog kennels
The mounting hooks are excessively long and don't fit well on the cross bars - cross bars are angled. The mount hooks are super long, had to 'fill' space under cross bar with pads to make it reasonably level to snug on - still excessively long hook screw length.
Otherwise, rides really well on road and freeway. Easy to load/unload (although sticking up screw handles inside are a little inconvenient, but they are easy to screw on.
Lost up to 3 mpg depending on speed and wind. But all in all - a great asset.

Amazon said this would fit my vehicle, a 2020 RAV4. The crossbar are too far apart. I had to drill another set of holes in the back of the box to make it work. Not a big deal but buyer beware.

First of all, let me say this-take the pocket knife out of your pocket before you install this cargo on your car!
Secondly, it lightweight. That's nice when your SO isn't around to help, or your booty itches.
Thirdly, it's east to install in your car! It comes with everything you need. And no tools is cool too! Unless you consider your hands tools. I've been told Christians do, but I wouldn't know firsthand.
The only thing I found annoying, is the directions are hard to comprehend.
That is all.

Quality luggage rack held up well in 3,000 mile round trip from Massachusetts to Southern Georgia through high winds and a period of down pouring rain. Secure latches, key's don't come out unless locked so no worries of losing keys. Material is light so it is easy to lift up and sits well on an SUV. Just completed 3,500 miles in two weeks, including torrential rain, snow, 60+ mph wind gusts, and blazing sun. Totally worth it! Everything stayed dry and the inter straps kept things from shifting around. Comes with stickers to cover the unused holes on the bottom, they did their job, but one has already come loose.
If, like me, you try to stuff it past capacity with squishy things (duffle/sleeping bags, dog bed, etc): The lid will not close without assistance. I didn't have a second person around to hold the lid down while I locked it, so ratchet straps to the rescue!
Attached to old yakima round bars, it was less noisy than the bars alone.
Felt like the size was a good choice, given the 100lb capacity of my bars.
The profile change was noticeable in the wind and with gas consumption.
Easier to install with two people, but not impossible if you're alone.
