Super fun instrument to play

Love this lyre. My only issue is the time it takes to tune all of those strings. However, the more I tune them, the better they are staying in tune. After a few practice sessions, I can pick melodies out of my piano books to play. I would recommend a clip on digital tuner to go along with this. The songbook is in chinese, I think, so it hasn't been too helpful to me. But, if you play a keyboard and can read top hand music, you'll have a lot of fun with it.

I really didn't have high hopes for this, but I am impressed. Now that the strings have reached full stretch they sound bright and stay in tune well. If this is your first instrument with strings, know that everytime you put new strings on it you will need to take some time to get the stretch out. Steel strings need less than nylon strings do, but if you are having a hard time getting it to stay in tune take some time to play then retune, play then retune. I am having fun experimenting and figuring out what songs I can play. It is harder without accidentals (sharps or flats), but it is doable. As a musician trained in classical and folk music, I have had to rethink how I do music. This is great! If you are looking for an easy song to start with, look up Brian Boru's March.

I bought this instrument to add new sounds to recordings. It's super simple to play. You must have a minimal understanding of music to set it up and tune it properly. Everything you need is included: a tuning wrench, carry case, even a pick to play with. I decided to buy the 16 string harp rather than the other ones with less strings because I thought I would have the option of tuning all natural notes for full 2 octave range or incorporate sharps and flats based on the key of the song I'm playing. It offers this flexibility. I play a lot of instruments, and this is a great addition to my collection and repertoire.

The media could not be loaded. This is my first Lyre however, I play a few other instruments. Tuning the Lyre wasn't a problem. I use standard tuner on my phone. The first few days I had to tune it a few times a day until it held the note more consistently. I love it. Honestly I do. I didn't read the description properly and I didn't notice that it comes with a travel case, 3 picks, a tool to tune the strings, and a basic book.
