I've never seen my 10 year old with ADHD sit still for so long in my life. This was incredibly engaging for him and the patience he took with it was truly impressive. The light pad is obviously for functional purposes but also made it more exciting for him.
The QR code for "tips & tricks" that came in the box doesn't work, it brings you to a "404 page not found" but we just googled similar things and found plenty of YouTube videos made by other individuals and he had a great time.

I bought this for my step daughter. She's an art student in college and I feel like the go-to gift everyone usually buys her are art supplies. Of course it's the usual; pencils, pads, paints, etc. I try to get her art supplies because it is her passion but some different things that others maybe haven't thought of. She is interested in drawing comics and anime and this seemed to fit nicely in that category of the art realm. I asked her if she had a light box before purchasing and she didn't. This kit comes with everything to make the booklet so there is no need to buy extras. The box itself has a nice presentation. Art students have a lot of heavy and serious projects to complete so this was something that was supposed to be for fun and nothing that had to be stressed. She has had fun with doodling when she can she tells me.

It is basically what I ordered. However, it does not come with the paper supply as pictured (received less than in the picture). It is "Amazon Choice". However, if all kits come as pictured, this one is overpriced. I expected this kit to have a light tablet with the pins making possible exact overlay of pages. Nevertheless, it will make possible my efforts to produce flip books for myself and for small gifts for children of friends.
Postscript: Having made my first flip book I found the pins for exact overlay are not an issue. As a matter of fact it is useful to shift sequential pages from exact overlay.
