I got this mainly because my desk is a bit low and I really needed to raise my laptop to eye level so that I wouldn't have to hunch over on zoom meetings. I work online, as a communications coach and most of my work consists of back to back zoom meetings. One of the reasons I chose this item over others was that the color matched my laptop perfectly, and aside from providing the lift I needed, I wanted it to fit seamlessly into my office decor. This was perfect! The only downside is that once you set it to a level, it will stay that way unless you take out the side cover piece and adjust it to a different level, using the hand tool provided. For me, this was not an issue because I am the only user, but if you have multiple users of varied heights, it might be something to consider. For minor adjustments, I can slightly move it with my hands, with no issues.

I have been using a pile of books as my Mac book stand. When my friend recommended this to me, my eyes lit up. This is a super sturdy and flexible laptop stand. I use it in my home office to elevate my Mac book so that it's screen aligns perfectly with another monitor side by side. The silver appearance goes very well with my Mac. Since it's lightweight and adjustable, I move it around my home for watching movies, etc. I'm totally happy with this product, it's great value!

Very sturdy, and looks great. Supports my 15" Surface Book 2, even if put a bit of pressure on it to type on the laptop directly (I have it raised up at an angle about 8"-10" from the desktop).

It's fairly easy to adjust, but not to the point of being comparable to a pneumatic system (it's just screws/bolts) - I wouldn't recommend it if you would need to adjust the height multiple times a day, but it could be possible depending on how well you dial in the tightness of the joints.

There's no documentation in the packaging on how to adjust the tightness, but you need to remove the plastic covers on *both* sides and adjust all four screws (the tools to do so were included). Once you get it to your liking, you probably won't need to adjust it again. I use my laptop 90% in a raised position, but if I want to lower it for drawing or studio mode, I can do so fairly easily, although it's easiest if I remove the laptop from the stand. Initially, I was hoping for something that can make the ergonomics similar to a Surface Studio - and while it comes close, you would probably need some sort of magnetic or pneumatic system to make adjustments that easily.

That being said, I still might pick up another one for my 15" Macbook pro, it's a great piece of hardware.

Great value for the price.

This is my first laptop stand, and it works great. I can't really compare it to others, but it does exactly what I need: places the laptop screen at eye level and reduces neck strain. It seems to be sturdy, the weight is good, and my MacBook Pro fits very well on it.

The only minor complaint I have is that instructions on loosening/tightening the tension of the arms were not included in the box, but the seller did proactively reach out with an email message explaining how to adjust those settings, so they must have realized that the instructions were missing.

Bottom line is that I would buy this again.

I needed one of these so badly but all the cheaper options had mixed reviews but I saw someone have this on youtube so I wanted to try it out even though it was the more expensive option. I'm glad I did, this one was worth the money. It is kinda heavy but that's so it can support the weight of the laptop so I don't mind at all. The design looks clean and aesthetically pleasing since you can hide the screws with the covers given. If you need one, I recommend this one 100%
