I had to wait awhile till I had time to do my project and now that I have I wanted to say it is the perfect tool for making the job look professional. Trust me, I thought the corners were exactly 90 degrees ! well some were but some were off by a few degrees which would have made for a poor looking joint. Same with the outside angles. so if you are planning on doing some trim work this tool will sure save you some frustrations and extra work.

I had some shoe molding to cut with some tricky inside and outside angles. These protractors do exactly what they're supposed to do "“ you hold it up to the wall and spread it out, then read the angle from the (correct) dial. Set that angle on your saw and you're all set.
The instructions are a little sparse, but with a few YouTube videos and some practice, it works well.
If I were doing a larger project, I might invest in an aluminum one or one with finer readings, but this was fine for my needs.

This is a great tool. I could use the miter saw protractor to measure every angle I need to know and get an accurate answer for crown moulding. Moreover, I could use the legs of the protractor angle finder as a ruler for measuring. This is a surprise to me!
I like how the trig jig angle finder can be re-zeroed at any angle, easily locked in place, switched to reverse angle and turns off automatically. It is a great replacement for starrett miter protractor.
It is very accurate and functional. The miter saw gauge serves as a good assistant at work that help me a lot. Anyway, I love this little miter saw protractor and highly recommend it.
