Nice kit to have a little something to do, lots of pieces , I have to be honest, I have not made anything yet but I have plugged it in, looked at everything and am pleased.( well I went to use the first one and the wood burning tool would not heat up, nothing n it was the first time I was going to use it. ) second one arrived, it heated up right away

At first looks, it looks great until you open the case and youre missing pieces. I didnt get the wood chips, or the Soldering Holder with Cleaning Sponge. I am a beginner and will now have to re-purchase these elsewhere which is a downer.

This is so much fun. I've never used one and wanted it to for my son to use to help with Christmas ornaments and he does wood carving. He is 16 and used it easily. We've had fun with it. I'd say overall great gift and easy to use for beginners. (I did buy a cheap beginners book on Amazon too though) fun fun

I have a bad habit of taking on ambitious projects, this was one of them. I love the temperature controls (they are in Celsius so beware you will need to convert them if you are in the US), the sturdiness seems a bit lacking while I have not broken it, it does seem a bit on the fragile side. One thing that would be nice to come with the set are dummy instructions. I have NO IDEA what I am doing, I have had to watch so many YouTube videos my history is full of wood burning techniques and I am still pretty clueless. A guide would be nice, but the set comes with a boat load of different attachments which is nice, I'm just playing with them at the moment, I like it, but some instruction in the ways of wood burning would be great!
