I needed to repair a tan-ish color brown belt that some how was missing the leather in a couple of small places but I felt was too noticeable and I wanted to keep the belt. This product provided the mixing template to closely match the belt color. Thankfully I asked my wife which of the browns did she think was my belt and her choice was correct and different than what I thought. So I mixed according to her selection. Mixing instructions were simple. You do need to estimate how much to vary of on vs the other but my mix came out perfectly. Sometimes I really have to look hard to notice where the repair is that's how good it is. I'll try to attach a picture but didn't want to delay my review.

It works well as it says. Very simple and easy to use product. Color combination chart is useful and instructions are detailed.

This mixture was a perfect match for my recliner I couldn't actually tell where the damage was once I applied the application I suggest this product to anyone that's looking to patch and area

I was a little nervous after reading the instructions and trying to get the color and application just right. But it's very user friendly and I quickly lost my fear. We had 2 recliners and a couch that we were selling. The couch was in pretty good shape, just a few minor scratches. But the recliners, although in good physical shape cuz they're La-Z-Boy brand, the leather was getting quite worn cuz the recliners had been used a lot for 15 years.. We wanted to fix up the coloring on all the wear spots (arms, seats, foot rests.) Wow, we both were amazed at how good they looked! After a while I wasn't super careful, just painting on the dye and then wiping off to get a layered effect. I definitely wasn't as precise about the application as the directions suggest. I tested it out on one tiny area that wasn't obvious in case it didn't look good. The next day we thought it looked pretty good so I just went at it. Amazing!!! Some of the best money I've spent in a long time. The kit includes patch material for rips, but I didn't use that so I cannot comment on how well that works.

TIP: I would suggest wearing disposable gloves. I did so much "painting" with the dye and was so carefree with it that I ended up with a lot of dye on my hands and under my fingernails. It washed off with a little effort but on my dominant hand there was still residue under my nails and in the cracks of my dry skin for a few days. It wasn't a big deal for my lifestyle, but if you need your hands to look nice then be sure to wear gloves!

Oh, I have a lot of dye leftover too. A little goes a long way. I covered A LOT of area of the recliners. So if you're going to be using it on furniture that you are keeping then this little kit is well worth getting. It'll be enough to do touch-ups for years to come. I really wish I would've gotten it sooner and enjoyed the outcome instead of waiting to fix up the leather for the next owners. 😉

Purchased a saddle that had a small cut in the leather. I wouldn't call the repair "perfect" but it did make a huge difference. The flaw cannot be seen from a distance and one would have to look quite close up to notice it. I did not have to mix the color. In saying that I found the color guide a little confusing had I needed to utilize it.
