I bought a thin version for my watercolor work. When I saw this I knew it'd be fun for my granddaughters 8th birthday. Also, I knew her mom would find a million uses for it in her craft work and many family parties to prepare for. They were very excited to start using it right away since it also came with colored pencils and drawing paper. Be sure to take batteries when you give it. They are not supplied. I think it was 3 AA.

I wish it came with some sort of strap or handle to make carrying easier, however bc it is a bit bulky when taking it on the go.
