Medium fit great on short 8 year old

My daughter is 8 years old but very small for her age - 5% height and 25% weight compared to other 8 year old girls. She's short and small and wears size 6 in most brands. With that being said, a medium fit her perfectly. If she was the size of a typical 8 year old, a medium would've definitely been too small (See picture). The material is what you'd expect - good quality stretchy spandex - not too think, but too thick. I would definitely recommend! For size comparison, see below:

If you're child wears 6/6x, get a medium
If your child wears 7/8, get a large
If you're child wears 10/12, get an xlarge

I bought it for her to wear under Halloween costumes and dresses that she says are itchy, so this will be perfect for Halloween since it's not super thin and may provide a little warmth.

The sizing chart is off, so I felt that it would be best to post what I ordered and why for the benefit of others. My 7 year old daughter is long and lean, and wears a 7/8 in street clothes. I initially ordered a large based on the chart and it was huge. Sent it back and ordered a medium which we will keep. Overall the length is perfect but it's a bit baggy in the mid-region. It's going to be hidden by a skirt so that's not important.
