Good product, ports numbered wrong

This is a very sturdy product that works as described with one caveat. The port numbers 1 and 2 are really reversed on the product. What is marked as port 1 on each connector is really port 2 and vice-a-versa. Since I'm familiar with networking I figured this out very soon, and I would not have a problem with it. I'm giving it 4 starts to get the seller's attention to fix it for future buyrs.
If you are using both connectors to combine 2 Ethernet cables at one end and split them at the other end, this mix-up would have no effect. If you use one connector as an Ethernet cable extender, you have to use the port marked 2, not 1 as instructed.
May be this is why a lot of buyers were complaining about it. I suggest if you run into a problem, just assume port 1 is 2 and port 2 is 1 and try again.
It is possible only the 2 connectors I got have somehow the ports marked wrong or this particular batch has this problem.
I'm very happy with the product, anyway.
