This is much nicer then i would have thought. I used it in a bad storm we had camping and it did the job with out a hitch. kept me dry did not rip or snag on any of the brush we had to trex through to get back to camp in a storm from hell we had.
Eyelets, drawstrings and snaps.

This product has a double layer of waterproofing, combined with the rip-stock makes for a durable poncho. It has 6 eyelets which is important to me for attaching a poncho-liner and setting up the poncho as an emergency rain shelter. The key for me however is the waist draw string, this keeps the poncho in place during a strong wind. Excellent product, I have one for each family member.

this is a decent replica to the actual military issue, except its shaped differently, the curve along the bottom is greater than on the surplus one, its also smaller by about two inches all around, there is a camp blanket sold by USGS that snaps in and fits the poncho perfectly, if you own a surplus liner put it between the two for extra insulation, the surplus liner ties into this poncho all the gromet points are there, the surplus liner is bigger about two inches of extra material because of size and shape difference, makes a better ranger roll sleeping bag than shelter, but can be pitched in the various configurations if you want, the size difference is noticeable if used as a shelter, bit small for my liking, my height is 5'7" so the coverage is good snaps closed just like the surplus, the color is shinny and slightly brighter than the surplus the woodland pattern is accurate, the durability is there for normal hiking and camping use, would hold up as a poncho or sleeping bag bivy in extreme weather conditions, shelter not sure material is durable enough how long it holds up may be questionable,
