It's a little difficult to mount to modern headliners due to OEM and the air bags/curtains.. I was able to feed a piece of aluminum flat stock above the headliner once I dropped the overhead light out of the headliner. I glued the 2"x 8" piece of aluminum to the backside of the headliner and then drilled holes matching the hat rack & used #6 machine screws and nuts to secure in place. Re-installed the overhead light & all appears to work ok.
