I started doing tea parties at my home and ordered this teapot for the occasions. It's lovely. I set it aside with boiling water first to make it hot, then actually made the tea in it with new hot water. The problem was that it didn't stay hot. As we visited and munched goodies, I'd go to refill people's cups only to find that the teapot had grown cool.
I was forced to wrap it in a towel to keep any semblance of warmth.
Why have a pretty teapot if you can't see it?
I guess that you'd have to use the whole pot up each time you poured, and then make a new pot of tea the next time you refilled for it to be hot. Not the best.
