You can tell a huge difference. It wasn't hard for me but u do have to practice a little. It's easy to make a mess if your too heavy handed with it. I've also noticed if u don't wash ur hair for a few days it will start to look splotchy. But it def doesn't come out unless you wash it out or if you rub it pretty hard. Overall tho it's a great temporary fix.
