I do not see any more 4 cylinder mode at all when I'm driving. Very good buy, save your motor and get one. Definitely recommend running high quality oil w/ regular changes in any of those 5.3l with cylinder and deactivation.

I have a 2012 Silverado with 110k miles & 2016 Tahoe 80k, The Range has brought piece of mind and quiet driving. I havent had it long enough to notice any difference with oil consumption or fuel levels yet. The Silverado on avg is close to 2 qts low oil between changes, (Not burning oil) hopefully the range helps, The transition between gears driving local has significantly improved. No more shutter and flutter while driving local or within that 35-45 mph, no more clunk or knocks when cruising in town. I can swap the Range between the 2 vehicles without any issues and it works flawlessly with both. I wish I knew of this long ago. Full V8 power all time is the way I prefer it. I've had it connected for up to 4 days without starting the vehicle and it started no problem (upstate NY weather in Nov) If I'm planning a long road trip perhaps I'll disconnect and attempt to use the Fuel management as intended. For local driving and short hwy exit to exit, the range will stay connected. Absolutely worth it compared to engine repair or permanent afm delete.

Works perfect!! Night and day difference!! 2019 Suburban LT Z71 5.3L Flex. No more of that fish biting switching from 4 to 8 cylinders. Response on acceleration huge difference. Runs like a 8 cylinder should!!!

After alot of research, I decided to stop my Silverado 6.2 engine from switching to 4 cylinders to " save gas " . This option has caused some problems ,and is a class action suit. It was also discontinued by Chevy on newer models. Very easy install, and worked perfectly . Can be unplugged in seconds for dealer service.
