A huge caponata lover here. Vegetarian, so caponata makes a main course for me. I used to make it from scratch, but now that I'm an empty nester, it sometimes seems more bother than it's worth for one person. I've tried a few jarred caponatas and this one is delicious! First, it came surprisingly quickly and well packed. That was nice. I opened and have only had a taste, but it is sumptuous and tasty, nicely seasoned. The consistency was beautifully creamy. Nice big chunks of eggplant. I always need to add a few things in to prepared foods to make them my own, and to this I will add olives and capers. Nothing to cook or clean up from those ;). Great product, so glad it came in packs of four.
Outrageous Taste, With an Equally Outrageous Price!

This is amazing! I love caponata, I make it myself, but who has the time? While this taste's delicious, it's far from traditional, as it should have capers, and this doesnt. What I think it more closely resembles - is fried eggplant in sauce without breading. Coponata its not, but amazing eggplant in sauce it most definitely is!

Sadly I cant afford it - it used to be in stores for $3.99, and at that price Id buy it by the case load. But with the online prices, I cant in good conscious recommend it, unless you're either loaded, or its a special occasion as a treat

If this comes down to a reasonable price I'd buy ton of it!
