So they add some cement to act as background and base. Not a bad idea, as geods often won't stand on their own.
Comparing to what I've seen in trade shows, this is a 4/5 product. It could be 20-25% larger given the price.

I received a gorgeous piece ranging from clear to dark purple amethyst. The crystal parts were polished better than the stone, would have liked to see the whole specimen polished. Other than that, overall gorgeous. Pay attention to the weight, though, you DO get what you pay for.
