Tough and attractive, but hard to stretch

I'm not a professional at felting a pool table, but here's my take: This felt is very attractive and tough, from my efforts at cutting it. However, it seems to relax after stretching. I stretched and stapled it and it was perfectly smooth at the pockets in the rails. The next day I saw that it had a lot of wrinkles where it had to be stretched at the pockets. maybe I didn't stretch it enough, but I feel that over a short time it relaxed and went back to it's original wrinkles. Even on the playing surface it resists stretching to remove the wrinkles near the pockets. It's might be my fault, but be forwarned. Very nice texture and color, though.

We bought this felt for a 1898 Brunswick pool table. It only took 2 days to get the felt. It's very durable and seems like excellent quality. Time will tell! I shoot alot of pool. This is 3rd time we have purchased felt from them and so far very happy with quality. I set up my son's pool table last week and he also is very happy with the felt. We are getting a few burn marks from the cue ball so we just ordered an aramith cue ball to see if it will help keep down the burn marks. I'll update if I can.

The felt has a worsted side n regular. The felt is very strong hard to cut with brand new blade. Only complaint is for my table it was a tight fit would have welcomed another 1" on either side. My first re-felt. Had the table for years paid for "professional" to do the work. Though in the area I just moved to the going rate is 200 per hr leaving the shop. So I did my homework, and got it done. It's not flawless. However I will get better next felt. I highly recommend this felt. Not a pro player, but typically play 3-6 hours a week.
