PROS AND CONS
MOJACK✓ Verified Purchase•September 24, 2023
PROS:
1. The Lights themselves are fairly good quality. The light cases are solidly built (out of plastic).
2. Installation is a breeze. Just peel the paper off the stickum tape and stick the light where you want it. I do recommend you leave the light attached to the magnetic metal bar for installation.
3. Easy to reinstall the light to the metal magnet bar after recharging. Move the light around a bit and it will 'snap' onto the magnet bar when it is in the right position.
4. I placed the lights in Barrister Book Cases, mounted to the top center of each door, and the lights are slim enough you can't see them when the doors are closed.
5. The lights are easy to adjust manually, which I did vs using the remote which is a 'con'.
6. In 'auto mode' the lights stay on for approximately 90 minutes and then shut off automatically. I was curious if they each lasted, timed out, at different intervals, but they ALL timed out after the 90 minutes!
7. The various light brightness's are noticeable. I use mine in the soft 'low level' you can see in the picture I provided.
Overall, I am satisfied with the quality of the lights and how they operate.
CONS:
1. Of note really.. The lights don't arrive fully charged. It took an 'average' (yes I timed each lights charging time) of 1 hour and 15 minutes to charge the lights. Plan on spending about 6 hours charging the lights before you use them. See item 2...
2. Even though a charging cable is provided for each light, an AC adaptor is not provided at all! I only had one on hand which is why it took me so long to charge all the light before using them. I plan on buying 6 more AC adaptors and a Power Strip to be able to charge all the lights at once. My plan is to recharge all the lights at the same time, when the first light goes out, so I don't have lights randomly going out (dead).
3. The Remote is built cheaply and I really don't expect it to last long. Simply based on the quality of materials used to make it. It looks and feels cheap! The required AAA batteries (2) are not included. Hence, that's why I haven't used the remote yet, I don't have any AAA batteries on hand. EVERYTHING I ever bought, that had a remote, came with the required batteries.
I'm on the road a lot and was only able to initially test these lights for 2 days. I'll continue my test, especially to see how long the lights hold a charge before having to be recharged, when I get home again. I will say the lights maintained the same brightness for the two days I tested them. I only used them for 90 minutes each day. I'll update my review on how the remote works, how long the lights stay charged, and how long it takes to recharge all six at the same time.
FOLLOW UP REVIEW:
I've been home for 10 days now, after being on road for over a week, and still haven't had to recharge the lights yet. That's 12 days use, 90 minutes each day, with a one week break during the 12 days. I have continued to use the lights for 90 minutes each night, on the lowest brightness setting, and all six lights are still functioning properly. So I would say the lights definitely hold a charge.
I did pick up some batteries for the remote. The remote has a working range of approximately 5 feet. Any distance beyond that and the remote works sporadically. Note, the remote will not turn on all my lights at the same time in the situation I am using them in. (see pic) I have to turn on the left, center, and then right light sets for cabinets separately. All the buttons on the remote work as advertised. Honestly, I leave the lights on the lowest setting, and just use the remote to turn them on/off. To achieve the lowest light setting I used the '-' button on the remote until the lights are as dim as they are going to get. Overall, even though the remote feels cheap, all the buttons work and function properly.
The next update I'll do is when one of the light's battery goes dead and stops working. I have bought all the necessary stuff to make a 'charging spider' and will fully charge all lights at the same time. (see pic) My next and final review will be on how long it takes to recharge all the lights at the same time.
MY FINAL REVIEW: I fully recharged all the lights at the same time which took approximately 1-1.5 hours. I reinstalled the lights on the magnets in my cabinets, which is an easy process, and placed them all on HIGH brightness (100%). Again I use these for 90 minutes every night. Even on the brightest setting the lights lasted 12 days (90 minutes each day), the same timeframe as when I had them on the lowest brightness setting.
I wanted to do these 'battery life tests' because of some of the reviews I read about battery life. Personally I am happy with how long they last and have upgraded my overall rating on these lights to a 5.

Use these instead of my overhead lights

This is the second time I've purchased these lights. I really love them. They have cutdown my electric bill!! I love the ambiance they give and the remote is almost my new best friend. Super easy to install. Once the sun goes down, I turn them on and they are so relaxing after work.
Best Under Cabinet Light

I loved how easy it was to install. It is so easy to charge as well. You just have to take it off the magnet and use one of the many cables provided to you. It is a great light and extremely bright. I will be purchasing more for my family members for their kitchen. Overall great product!
These lights are a very versatile answer for lighting up a cabinet!

I liked these lights so much I ordered another set. I used 5 of the first 6 lights in my 2 china hutches. I bought the second set to install in a closet, and to have some spare lights to use while the the dead lights get charged. These lights installed really easy. It is easy to remove light to charge it and easy put back up too. The advantages to these USB charging lights are.
1. You don't have to keep buying batteries.
2. Don't have to open up case to install batteries.
3. There are no wires to install, or to route thru display case or shelves.
4. You have a choice to turn these on manually or using the remote.
(by the way the remotes included with light sets works for all the lights.)
5. There are 2 light shades and they are dimmable with remote.
6. These lights can be set to turn off in 15 minute increments up to an hour using remote.
I included some different shots of my china hutches. One picture of each without the extra lights, one picture of each with the extra lights, and picture of each hutch with the lights on at night. These lights are set to the brighter light shade. The bigger hutch has 4 lights installed 2 on each of the lower 2 shelves. The smaller one only has one installed on lower shelf. But these lights really highlight my collections well.

I needed some lighting on a few of my darker display shelves in my library. These were on sale so I snagged some. I *do* love them, I love that they have a remote, they were easy to install and are easy to remove for charging. And as an added bonus, I bought a second pack and one remote works for all of them.
HOWEVER. My gripe with these is that I can't get them all to be the same freakin' color. There are 3 settings - cool/fluorescent, soft white, and warm yellow. But to change the color you have to cycle through them by clicking one button, and I wish there were separate buttons for each color because I CANNOT get them to match for the life of me! Doesn't matter if I turn them all the way off and back on. Even when I set each one to the color I want before I turn it off and back on. They still come on in random, different colors (even the ones that came in a pack together). It's extremely aggravating!!
Also so you're aware, these are NOT motion detection lights!! For some reason I thought they were, and it's an option to rate in the review as well. (Which is fine, the remote serves me perfectly fine without motion detection so no biggie for me, just don't want anyone else to buy them while specifically looking for motion detection lighting.)
