Final UPDATE: 12/19/21 The unit fired right up. Had to use it a few times to burn off the oil that is applied so it will not rust. Mild winds still cause a yellow flame but eventually went back to the blue flame which is needed to properly heat the area. I purchased a deflector shield separately and going to install it to redirect the heat towards where we are sitting. Overall, as I stated previously, Sunjoy stepped up to the plate and stood behind their product. Can't ask for anything more than that.
The picture attached show the new unit working just fine.
Another UPDATE: November 2021 - As you can see by my original and updated review that the company, Sunjoy, really stepped up to the plate. They made it a point to contact me, confirm the problem and sent me a new top to the heater. Going to install it and will add the progress but I have to update my rating which I have done. If it works or not, I will mention it here.
UPDATE: I finally found a contact for Sunjoy products and they went out of their way to try to remedy the problem. Through a few talks and a video and a couple of photos, they are sending me a new part to fix this flame problem discussed below. We lost our instruction Manuel which really didn't have much info so I sent a photo of the ID sticker on the torch body. For all the work they were doing, I pushed up the rating by one star. If I receive the part and it works, I will definitely be giving them five stars.
I received this in a timely manner and assembled it per the instructions. I set it up on our rear deck and waited for the cold weather. We live in New England so the cold was coming soon after. I started the heater, no problem. The first time it was burning off the protective oils which I expected. The heat it threw off was minimal. Waited until evening to show my wife and daughter how to operate the heater. It was windy so we turned it down to low because the flame was blowing outside the burner and searing the protective shield. Still no heat. Left it on for 5 +/- minutes to try to get the heat but nothing. Would increase and decrease the flame contingent on the wind. Still no real heat. I will try again and update my review if more successful. I see a lot of positive reviews but this isn't working for me.

Good price
Wouldn't assemble straight

Arrived fast and seemed to be quality materials. Nice heavy powder coating. The instructions were quite clear and the parts were well marked so assembly was very fast and was done in 1/2 hour. I put in the 20lb propane tank and started right up. Was disappointed that the unit doesn't quite stand straight up. Close but just off enough to really bother me. I tried to straighten it but wouldn't budge. Seems as if the pre drilled holes were slightly off. Doen't affect performance so I am keeping it.
So:
Pros- easy setup, cheap price, heavy powder-coating, effective heating.
Cons- Drilled holes aren't quite straight. Really annoying.

Does the job without looking cheap.

We wanted a heater in our patio for keeping us warm in the fall/winter times in KY.
Assembly was straightforward while they include most tools - you do need an extra wrench to tighten them as one side needs to be held on. To keep the packaging size in one box parts are made into multiple pieces. Once assembled - however I tighten the pole is always leaning to one side. Thought about returning but just the hassle of disassembly and reassembly made me just accept the crookedness.
Once I connected the propane tank (again there is nothing to hold the tank cover up when you are installing the tank) the heater switched on in one shot.
Wind really upsets the burning as it goes from blue flame to yellow. Heat around it is good. But doesn't cover our whole patio.
So all in all - it's ok. Better for fall. Less effective in winter.

Would like it better if all the parts had come

Just got this and assembled it today. Was very well packaged, clear instructions, and the heat output is quite good. I used it tonight - it's currently 57 degrees outside but was 70 near the heater. As I mentioned, the instructions were good and I would have given this 5 stars if all the parts were there - but 6 nuts were missing. Added 1/2 hour to assembly time because I had to run out to the hardware store and purchase the nuts for a couple bucks. So yeah...a little inconvenient...but I wouldn't hesitate to buy another. I'm pretty sure if I'd have contacted seller they would have sent me the missing nuts, but I wanted to get this thing put together today. October in Michigan - this thing is great!
