This combination of technological wizardry and chemical brilliance did away with lingering oopsie remnants from pets, paint and elderly parents. There is something incredibly soothing and satisfying about the process and the vacuum indentations it leaves behind showing you that yes, you have cleaned there already and you did a fabulous job.

This thing is so great! It really gets the carpets clean. It's easy to put together, easy to use and fairly light to carry. The dirty water container could use to be a bit larger but I will deal with emptying more often for a great clean. TIPS: 1) if it seems like the suction has stopped it probably just needs to be emptied, the full line on the jug is lower than you would expect. 2) GO SLOW, you will get a better clean and better suction of the wetness if you go slowly and let it really work. 3) clean and area larger than where you want to clean, especially with the hand tool, start in front of the area by 4-5 inches and same on the back and sides. 4) use the right solution. The Bissell solutions are far better than the generic stuff. Use the solution that addresses the issue you have, they are made different for a reason. The urine removal solution works wonders for pet stains.

Honestly incredibly impressed with how well this cleans and extracts. Prior to using this I had a rug doctor spot cleaner, which is a great unit but hard on the knees. In looking for an upright whole house unit I decided to give this Bissel a go, and I'm glad I did.

We have three cats, and vacuuming is a fairly regular event in our house, at least one or twice a week in common areas. Prior to using this I ran my Dyson over my carpets and did what I thought was a thoroughly decent job at getting up the solids. I filled the tank with warm water, added the carpet solution and went to work. I was left incredibly impressed, and throughly disgusted at the same time by this unit. Seeing what my Dyson was leaving behind was eye opening. The dual brush on this Bissel was not only extracting dirt, but also cat hair that was deeply embedded in our carpet fibers. Every 4-5 feet it would kick out a wad of pet hair that my vaccum had managed to miss. I was even able to get up a spot of latex paint from when we painted our walls. I honestly couldn't be more impressed with this Bissel as an upright.

The only drawback I've had with this unit is the hand attachments. When using it on my stairs, it leaked. I double checked the fittings, and made sure the tanks were properly connected, but I still ended up with a small puddle under the machine.

I'm still choosing to rate this incredibly high for how it performs as an upright.

My husband says it works really slick and easy. The carpet looked really nice and smelled nice. Great product!
