Replacement came two days later, and it's perfect!

I received my first Kulana Lakona Shore 26" beach cruiser bike only three days after placing that order with Amazon Prime, and it was almost perfect! And that style and those colors (blue and purple) are truly beautiful! The only problem was it did not include a seat, seat post, or owners manual. So I very quickly got on the horn (now called the internet), and contacted customer service. Only two days later the replacement bike is sitting in front of me, at 10:30 a.m.! And it's in perfect condition condition, not missing anything, ready to be put together, right after my second cup of coffee. Those Amazon people are terrific! They seldom ever make a mistake, and never twice. And that's why I've been a satisfied customer, who have made countless purchases from and through Amazon (and Prime) for more than twenty years! It looks like they're stuck with me for the rest of my life.

This bike was simple enough to put together.
I would suggest laying the bike on its back and having a 2nd person help you assembly it though. The instructions are kind of hard to understand.
I only found one small scratch on the front of the steering wheel upon delivery. And I had one issue with a loose screw under the seat that fell off. I had to find a replacement at my local home depot. (Metric screw)
They don't supply tools with this bike. You will need a few tools of your own. Screw driver, Allen wrench, a thin Cresent wrench.
This bike is awesome. It's very smooth. Comfortable ride. It does take a while to get use to the type of brakes they have. ( it's easiest to stand up and brake. Pushing back on the pedal to stop is difficult. It definitely takes some practice. If not, you'll crash).
All in all it's a great bike. Well worth the money.

I'm glad I did. The bike is quite good for riding on pavement for relatively short periods. Seat and handlebars are comfortable and easily adjustable. At the end of the day, it was a good purchase as I wanted a single speed, less "fiddly" than a mountain bike option to use for exercise around my neighborhood.
Out of the box, though, there were issues. The pedal crank shaft was severely overtightened and had *zero* grease in it. I needed to pull it apart and apply grease to the bearings so the pedals could turn smoothly without screeching. The handlebars will work loose from the frame over time - which is an issue, but hardly exclusive to this bike. Still, it's an annoyance. Overall, happy with the purchase and it's been great for getting some workouts when weather permits.
