I needed a shelf system for my office, mainly to clean up the wireless router and other various home networking equipment and to clean some photos off of my desk. This shelf works great for that purpose. However, when I put the battery backup (UPS) on the bottom shelf, it made sounds like the wood was ready to give way. I laid the UPS on it ever so gently; anticipation grew as if a bomb were to go off but to its credit, it held up. It looks incredible and it's easy to put together if you properly itemize and group together the screws, nuts, and bolts.
A tip when assembling, start with the bottom shelf and don't tighten the nuts fully. Lean it against the wall so that the rails sit flat. Tighten the nuts fully. Now, when you add each shelf, you can easily level and tighten and you won't have to go back and loosen them all because the rails don't touch the wall like mine. Trying to save you some time!

I was looking for a not totally expensive but aesthetic bookshelf for my growing book collection. This was very easy to put together, only took me about 20-30 minutes by myself. It's very lightweight, and easy to move around once it is assembled. With that, however, it isn't the most sturdy, meaning my 16 pound cat was very disappointed when I told him he could not jump onto it. Overall, this serves its purpose, doesn't take up a lot of space and is very cute.
