Great for soaking up perspiration from glasses and mugs, has a nice cork bottom so it doesn't scratch our table. Only issue is it gets little splotches of discoloration from coffee or soda. Not sure if it can be cleaned, haven't tried yet.

These six coasters come with a good looking, functional holder. They won't curl or warp and have a cork base so they will continue to absorb and won't slide. I am very satisfied with this choice, and feel they would work with any decor.

My old coasters were cheap and terrible and can't soak up anything - i've put a glass of iced soda on it before and discovered afterwards that ALL th ewater went through it down to the table. Talk about useless. I finally got around to buying new coasters and my #1 requirement is that it must be able to soak up water. I saw some ppl say these don't soak up any liquid but since majority said they do, I decided to take a chance.
GOOD CHOICE. I've been using it with my tall glass of iced soda and so far it's soaking up the condensation like no other. the outside of my glass gets so much liquid dripping down, one time i picked it up and it splattered water all over my lap, that's how much condensation it gets. This coaster soaks it up like it's no biggie. it doesn't soak down to the cork bottom either, result is that my table is finally safe!!!
The material says it's ceramic stone, but it's definitely not like any ceramic i've ever used before. When it arrived they were separated with individual plastic sheets to protect them, sitting inside the metal stand (which is great, I totally forgot it came with it). There was a layer of white dust (ceramic dust?) on top that i...wiped off on my shirt actually, because I discovered a wet cloth actually doesn't work too well because it's not a smooth surface. the top of it is basically like a very finely sanded...flower pot? It's got like this soft touch thing, and I love it because my glass doesn't clack/clink against it. In any case, wiped it off on my shirt and then tossed my shirt in the wash, all good.
If you need inexpensive coasters that looks good and will absorb water like no other, I HIGHLY recommend these!!!
