The remote control boat works fine, the instructions are clear, and it seems well made and water tight. It is slower than I expected putting along at a nominal pace. Steering works well. Fun for children, not so much for adults.

8/13/20 Update: I'm increasing my rating on the device to account for the superb customer service I received from Celine at USA Toyz. She responded quickly and was very generous in offering a refund because I wasn't fully satisfied. Such excellent customer service is rare these days. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from USA Toyz again, despite that this particular item didn't meet my expectations.

We bought several of these for the grandkids, and I am so pleased with them. For this price I don't expect them to last forever, obviously, but while they last they are GREAT! The speed is just right for a pool -- some RC boats are so fast that you don't have much time to drive them before they get across the pool. Forward and left/right functions work very well; reverse doesn't do much other than making it stop quickly when you're going forward. Each jet ski will pair with any unpaired remote that is within range, and once they pair they don't interfere with other boats -- we had 3 going at the same time and each worked independently. The battery compartment is a really bad design -- you have to pop it open with a lot of force, and it still doesn't seal well, so water gets in and you have to open it and let it dry out after every use. But overall this RC jet ski is an incredibly good buy, and a lot of fun!

We absolutely love this jet ski! The pros overweight the cons by far!

Pros:
- it is very easy to drive! Kids from age 4 can easily handle the remote.
- the speed is perfect for young kids that can't easily react to obstacles or borders. The speed is also great for pools even small ones.
- it's very thick and durable, you can hit the walls and nothing happens. It also never over turns so it is safe.
- it's perfectly hermetic (airtight), water won't get to the battery system.
- the "look and feel" is quite real, the size of the jetsky, it's weight and speed gets the perfect waves to look like a real jet ski.

Cons:
- the battery life is short (as they advised). It lasts about 20 minutes and it takes about 2 hours to charge back. I guess this contributes to the light weight of the product so you have to compromise 😅
- the battery system is not as simple as charging other toys or appliances. My 6 year old can't do it himself. I believe this "con" is also a compromise to the lightweight and hermetism.

We bought this RC jet ski when there were zero reviews. We are very pleased with it so far (had it about a month).

It drives great in our pool. The sound and wake profile are very realistic (if you've driven a jet ski for real, you'll know exactly what I mean).

At this price point, you have to be reasonable about the controls. You don't get variable speed. But you do get full control accomplished with dual propellers. It's surprising nimble and easy to drive (our 4 year old picked it up with zero help from me). The momentum of the jet ski in the water covers up the normally jittery/jumpy on/off style control.
-Straight forward is both props spinning full speed
-Forward + turn slows the inside prop
-Just turn is just the outside prop spinning
-Reverse + turn slows the inside prop (but going backwards)
-Straight reverse is both props spinning full speed (but going backwards)

One of the main reasons the kids wanted it was to let their toy figures ride it in the pool. And that's exactly why I'm leaving this review. It is definitely the right size for 6 to 12 inch figures, but you'll need one that has good joint articulation to get it on there right. Rubber bands help a lot, like the ones inside the packaging of most Barbies. The trickiest part is balance, you need to experiment to get it right. But it will work. I have to say, it was pretty neat to watch our 7 year old driving it around with her favorite Chelsae doll riding along.

Most likely you'll want battery recharging to be a grownup job. Maybe some older kids can do it. But that's not a shocker.
