Because of several reviews assailing the accuracy of this item, I tried it out on the environment (70 degrees, the thermostat setting) and myself (various readings at various times). Appeared accurate every time, right down to me usually reading a degree low. I have no question it is accurate. Also very easy to use. Doesn't require much hand strength; just point and shoot. Very pleased with this purchase.

I had brought this type of item at local Drug store. The ones I brought at drug stores had no directions for changing from centigrade to Fahrenheit. Also they only lasted until 1st battery change.
This thermometer came with directions, and appears to be a high quality.

Works well and as advertised. Easy to use. Good price. Have to be sure to be at right distance for accurate read but that is not difficult to figure out. Recommend this item for touchless thermometer but not sure that touchless should replace thermometers in the mouth. Have to say though that the read for this item has been same temp I get from a thermometer in the mouth. Have not used it enough for it to become primary. But it is convenient.
