If you have this installed on your wheel, someone is going to have to break or cut it off, or remove the entire wheel. It goes on and off easily. Pretty basic, but just what we were looking for in one additional security measure on our trailer. Combined with a couple other locks for each component, someone would have to spend a lot of time and energy, and make a lot of noise to commit a theft.
We got the red and black one. It is a visible deterrent, very bright. The yellow ones are probably brighter.
The rubber coating does seem to protect the wheel and rim from any direct contact with metal.
As a note, it appears that others didn't realize that this was for a single lock, not a pair of them. This is for one locking device. The one we got had 3 keys in the package (although the package says that 2 keys are included).
