These were installed on a pool table. These would be perfect for an ultra flat install. It comes with a drill guide, Erich is nice. However they are not easy to install. Bolts are two different sizes and you have to figure out which one goes where. The locking mech is all the way engaged or nothing. They're clunky. Install was difficult. During the install I thought about returning them several times. It's frustrating.

However, if you are installing on a completely level and flush surface, they'll work just fine.

Great product for the money! Easy to install if you have some knowledge of how they work. Instructions overall are pretty lame. Some notes on the instructions.

Since your table is probably going to be upside down when you are installing these, make sure you pay attention to the orientation of the parts when building the devices. Seems like a silly statement but it is kinda important.

There are 8 total hinge bolts. 4 long, 4 shorter. Make sure you put them in the right places on the casters.
When using the template, they recommend you cut the bottom 3/16's off the edge. I recommend leaving it on and aligning the bottom of the template with the bottom of the leg of the table/workbench. This allows a little more positive contact with the ground when the casters are raised (table/workbench lowered).

These casters roll nicely on my concrete floor in my garage making it super easy to move my 24 x 48 inch workbench around where needed.

Because of the design of my workbench, the devices stick out an additional 6 inches from the legs. These are the smallest size and they stick out a pretty good bit. Keep this in mind when you are building/designing your bench and planning to use these casters.

Overall, a great design and product that I will incorporate again on future builds.

I bought this 880# set to mobilize my workbench which is a combination of a double steel mechanic's drawer unit and a custom made thick hardwood top with two vises. With the drawer contents it stays where it was put and takes two men to slip sliders under to move it. When I bought these, I was disappointed not to find an installation template in the box, so I made my own. But mine sets the wheels higher than necessary--I know because I just finished the install and on recycling the box found the template in the bottom of the box underneath a piece of brown corrugated cardboard that just looked like the bottom of the box. So look for it! In my case, the wheels lift the bench only a fraction of an inch off the floor, but as seldom as I expect to move it that's enough and actually keeps the bench pretty level at all times rather than upending one corner, one end then the other.
Installation is straightforward, though takes a number of steps. First, use the template to mark holes. I used screws in all 6 positions to secure the black brackets to the metal cabinet legs. Assemble the wheels to the chrome brackets, which then attach to the lower side holes of the cabinet brackets with the longer bolts. Finally, attach the black levers (curved side down) to the top holes of the cabinet brackets with the shorter bolts. Snug everything up so the lever & wheel fittings move smoothly but firmly.
And if in any doubt, just get the stronger rated casters. 5

it was nice to have the gauge to install the wheels, the only problem was te gauge needed to be trimmed for he correct height. Unfortunately i noticed it after i drill te holes. it still works fine but only has 5/8 inch clearance instead of 3/4 inch.

I'm building a 4'x8'workbench in my garage and I wanted to be able to move it if I needed. I only have a 1 car garage. I saw people use these on some YouTube videos, so I decided to buy them. I just installed them on my bench and all I have to say is AMAZING!
