I've been really pleased with how well these have held up and how they look. Yes, they smelled strongly of plastic immediately after opening, but that smell airs out fairly quickly and does not linger on the item. Once I arranged them into the configuration I wanted, they held and looked really nice. If you are up close, they are obviously plastic, but from a short distance it is not noticeable. Good product. I would buy them again if I needed more.
