Weak chain, but overall quality product.

Tripod is heavy and durable. That is exactly that l was looking for. Only one problem (l gave 4 not 5 for this) chain is weak and easy to brake. You need to modified it (look pic. that's how l did).
This tripod is a great value, so pleasing to deal an honest merchant .

It is light weight, easy to set up, and well constructed. Seems like good people to deal with. I bent one leg on mine the first day i used. It was entirely my fault. But they responded to my questions promptly.

I like everything about this tripod with one exception - the chains that prevent the legs from spreading apart. The very first time I went to open the legs the crappy little chains broke instantly - extremely inappropriate quality for the purpose they're designed to serve. There is no way that these chains could possibly hold up to the rigors of the way people would use this day to day. Kinda funny that even the accompanying product photos show a couple different versions of the chain. If you buy this tripod - you'll likely have the exact same problem - but once solved everything else about this tripod if first rate - superb.
If you buy this tripod replace the chains and you'll be quite satisfied with everything else.

Bought to be used on a commercial construction site. Tripod was much heavier than expected but not unmanageable. Haven't had it long but all parts were in good order and it was packed well upon delivery. I am using a topcon laser with it and think this will hold up in the field...
