It'll work with Normal usb type a chords too but it takes way longer to charge. If you have a good USBC chord this thing will do wonders. Also the batteries are pretty solid and comparable to the one I got with my fx3.

I've had this case for a few weeks and trips and it surprises me how much I've come to appreciate it. I have 4 Sony batteries in addition to the generics and I constantly swap a camera battery for one in the case. If only planning on a few pictures I take the case with 2 batteries in addition to the camera + 1 battery. Few is relative, for me few drains more than one battery. If I am on a photo trip I take a bigger backpack with more lenses and a second Sony camera (uses same batteries) and all the batteries, plus the case. The case is great for charging 2 batteries with 1 cord.

Realistically I would give these 3.5 stars. The case is made of plastic and feels cheap. I doubt the lid will survive a fall. I also hate the design of the SD card holder. It's a nice feature but it's a royal pain in the a$$ to open and I probably won't be using it because of that. I do like that the charger has a lid though. I can throw this thing in a camera bag and won't have to worry about the batteries falling out and having to dig around my bag for them. I also like that I can use it as a battery bank in case my phone starts dying The batteries themselves are surprisingly good though. They will definitely get through a full day of moderate shooting. And at the end of the day that's the most important thing. All in all this is a good buy. I haven't seen any other chargers with a lid that can be used as a power bank.
