These look like a pair of headphones, but you just hang it off your neck like a collar and let it do its thing. The air is drawn in from the two speaker-looking bits and is circulated through little vents from ear to ear, keeping a steady breeze moving across your skin at the base of the scalp. I became aware of this when shopping around for personal cooling options I can use at work, and this one happened to be marked down. There seems to be a lot of competition in this space, starting at around the 10 dollar range up to 400, but my curiosity for wearable fans doesn't reach that high. This was a good investment, though- the fans are quiet, with most of the perceivable noise just coming from the constant stream of air blowing past your ears. I've used them for a couple of the hottest weeks of the summer, and I feel they've made a real difference in helping regulate my body temperature. The single button cycles between 3 rising fan speeds and off, though most days, the lowest one is enough, and the battery keeps that going steady for a good nine hours straight. When it does run out, it has the good sense to stop abruptly instead of slowing down the airflow as the current drops, as is usually the case with fans powered by traditional alkaline batteries.

So long as the humidity is low enough for evaporative cooling to work, these are a great summer companion. And they look just like a pair of headphones that are idling at the wearer's neck, so you don't wind up looking like too much of a weirdo.

It arrived on time. It came in a box with a white fan depicted on the package. I ordered it in dark green. So i was thinking that they had sent the wrong color. When my Sister opened it, the color was as ordered a nice dark green which happens to be her favorite color.

It isn't loud, but it's not whisper quiet either. I could hear it from across a room. I would not be able to talkbon the phone with it running. She liked it however. She says that it didn't catch her hair either. She has mid back length hair. If she gets good service out of it, I'd buy it again. Too soon to tell.

Bottom line: this thing DOES make you feel cooler on hot days when working outside. Now, I dunno if it actually does MAKE YOU cooler or if that is just a perception caused by the blowing air around your neck and head but either way, it's better working on hot days with this thing on than off. Now, some reviewers have complained about the noise level on the two higher speeds (medium and high). Well, get a clue folks. It's called physics. You cannot have a motor attached to a power supply (battery or otherwise) and crank that motor up to max and NOT have it be a bit louder on the higher speed levels. Duh. But is that a deal breaker on hot days? Hell no. But if yer gonna wear it sitting in a pew in a quiet church while the preacher's blabbing away about hell and hellfire....well then you'd want it on the lowest level. Duh. Thank you. This fan is more than worth the value and gets the job done. For those who sweat with the slightest activity, this is for you! Ever since I had thyroid issues I can barely walk without the heat pouring out of me. The battery is great and last for hours! Also, you cannot even tell you have a fan around your neck as it resembles a head set of some kind. Great value & works great to cool down!

I like the JISULIFE Portable Neck Fan. My internal thermometer is out of wack and I get very hot easily. I have used it while sitting at my desk, watching TV and even during a presentation at a seminar. It looks like headphones so it doesn't make me uncomfortable about wearing it in public.

I found out that while you can use it when it is plugged into the charger, it does not recharge the fan, so it was drained the next time I wanted to use it. I wish I had known that. I used the fan several times during the day, but it runs out of juice by evening. I suggest charging it more often.

The three fan speeds are handy for keeping cool. The noise level goes up as the speed is increased, but I find it quite tolerable and does not interfere with my hearing, conversation, or concentration. I usually can use the lowest setting and be comfortable.

For those of us with wonky internal thermostats or who get hot easily, this is a very handy device.
