I ordered and was concerned the berries may not arrive in Houston in good condition because of the intense heat wave. There was no need for me to worry as the box arrived in very good condition. The berries were well packed and the dry ice kept them totally frozen. The look perfectly ripe and taste great in a yogurt smoothie. They are a bit pricey but I am pleased. I ordered because I have a damaged eye that has gone through several surgeries.

I hesitated too buy these for the longest time because the cost concerned me. I grew up with wild gooseberries at my fingertips, so the price scared me away. I finally decided to buy them split with my family. I am so glad I did! I wasn't sure how much 4.5 lbs of berries amounted to pie-wise, and it isn't specified how these are packaged. I can tell you they came in 1.5 lb resealable packages, obviously freezer safe, so there were 3 bags total. Each bag could make one large pie, easily. Once they were shipped, they came quickly, and packaged really well with dry ice. They were still frozen when they arrived! The gooseberries are big, bright green, perfectly tart, individually frozen (each berry), and 100% clean and ready to eat! I tasted a few and they are exactly what I expected. I can't wait to replicate my grandmas gooseberry pie. The price seems higher on Amazon than what you might pay through the sellers website, but I think the shipping cost is rolled in to the price on Amazon. So overall I think the price is fair. I'm so glad to have found these, and I'll definitely restock!

This is pricey, and I would buy more if you could offer a discount for large orders. After all, the packaging could be less costly in a large box than several small ones. Seller?
