I have had this iron for 6 months now, and this iron offers very good value for the price. It came with everything needed to immediately start a project, and the all-in-one style of the package allowed it to feel sturdy and safe. I was not worried about knocking over the iron or burning myself, as the holder and unit as a whole was very stable. It came with accessories that actually are useful and I rely on for a lot of help; the tweezers help with little surface mount components and wires, and the solder sucker is just a generic sucker, but it does it's job well. I'm still using the same tip from the begining, so they are good tips that are included as well. Sometimes I have to solder/desolder large components, but when I have it locked with the button the temperature is managed well enough to where the iron can handle those demanding tasks. To top it off, the design is fairly professional-looking so it does not look bad on my desk with my other equipment. The cable connecting the iron feels thick and well insulated as well, so that's reassuring. Overall I am glad I made this purchase.

I purchased this to use with building, modding, and repairing guitars.
Pros:This station. Has a nice configuration, easy to use and understand controls. The iron heats up rapidly and seems to hold heat while soldering. The layout is convenient and helps keep things organized.
Cons: the station itself is lightweight and I am not sure of durability ( I am using it on a bench so not as concerned about that ). Heat at the tip of the iron seems to be off by about 100F., I tested it using Sn99 solder which has a melting point of roughly 440F and had to set temp @ 540 to get the solder to melt.
All in all this a good little station.

I got this for home DIY use. I was using a regular pencil iron but needed better temperature control. This station provides that plus a digital readout to monitor set temperature. I also like the variety of tips it comes with. Overall, it's well-made and can be used for long periods. It's a complete station with tip cleaner and a solder holder. The desoldering tool and tweezers are always good to have as well. So far I've used this for soldering components on PC Board and splicing wires. Lower temperatures for delicate components and higher temperature for heavier gauge wire. 90 Wtts is more than enough for most light soldering jobs. Definitely recommended.

As someone who only solders occasionally, this is awesome! I always wanted one of these but could never justify the price of the big name brands. This one works perfectly! So much nicer than my old soldering iron that gave me years of service, but no control of temp, etc. This is such an upgrade. So much safer to have a holder and control of the temp. The solder spool is awesome too! I wish I had this a long time ago. Seems to be very well built and an incredible bargain.

A solid choice for an entry level soldering iron. Tips are decent once you clean them off and the iron itself gets to temperature pretty quick. I found the temp readings on the base to be accurate and I liked that it had a stable rest to set the iron into while I'm prepping my board.
The solder spool holder is a little wonky and can come apart with too much force, but it's not that annoying. I like how there's a spot for all the tips to sit in. The place for a sponge and a scouring pad to wipe off buildup ain't all bad. Overall, it's pretty good for an entry level electronics student or DIYer!
