Customer Service very helpful

I purchased this in 2022. I encountered a leak in the unit, and although it was past warranty Petra support member (Jen) helped to rectify the situation and offered me either a refurbished unit or discount to get a new unit that satisfied my needs. I went with new unit to have a new warranty. I appreciate they offered me options outside of the warranty to still use the product. I will say although I had the leak, the unit worked great otherwise. I hope it was just a one off but I appreciate their help!
UPDATED REVIEW

UPDATED REVIEW: I had an issue with my first sprayer, and the customer support has been great so far. Nina responded in less than 12 hours and said they are sending me a new unit. I have changed my review to 4 stars. I think its performance could be 5 stars, but I do have concerns about the durability. I wish some metal had been used in places instead of plastic, but if I can get a few years out of this thing, I'm fine with it.
The customer service definitely gets 5 stars.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: I was truly hoping this would solve my DIY pest control needs, but I have doubts about the durability.
1. There is a red clip that is used to lock the sprayer in the "on" position. The first time I touched this clip, it fell off. Luckily, I was on the driveway and not standing in ivy, so it was easy to find the clip.
2. The knob you turn to adjust the pressure also comes off easily. A drop of Elmer's glue on its threads might take care of that.
3. The volt meter that tells you whether the battery needs to be recharged doesn't do anything. It has a green light and a red light. I assumed the green means the battery is fine and the red means it needs to be charged. However, both lights are always on, so I'm not sure what the point of the volt meter is in the first place. Maybe the green light turns off as the battery gets weak - I'm not sure. All I know is that both lights have been on every time I use it.
4. The main problem is that after 3 uses one of the shoulder straps became detached from the tank. I'm not sure how clear my pictures are, but one shows the "bracket" on the bottom of the shoulder strap that used to be attached to the tank, and the other shows the empty spot on the tank where the bracket used to be attached. There is a metal screw that used to hold it together, but this screw went into plastic and apparently has already worked its way out. I think I'm going to screw it into a new hole right next to the original hole. This is definitely the biggest issue of the 4 I've listed as this thing weighs over 25 pounds when full and you need both shoulder straps. I don't have a lot of confidence that the shoulder strap is going to stay on. I would have preferred more metal parts holding it all together, and I probably would have been willing to pay more for that type of better construction.
As for how it works, it seems fine. I mostly use it for fogging/misting the shrubbery to keep mosquitoes down. It seems to do a good job. I'm not sure I understand the difference between all the nozzles, but I found one that seems to match up with my need (perhaps one of the others would do just as well, or maybe better).
It has a big opening so it is easy to get the pesticide in the tank. It feels comfortable when wearing it, but I haven't used any others for comparison.
I will probably contact the company to see if they have any thoughts as to whether my repair of the strap will hold and/or whether this covered under the warranty.
Overall, I'm not thrilled with the quality for $150 but it does seem to work well.
The customer service definitely gets 5 stars.

****UPDATE****
You can continue below to read my initial review, but I wanted to post an update.
Having initially loved this product, it stopped working, and customer service techs were a nightmare. I left an honest and fair review and continued to call for help. No one on tech support would help, but Mikki, who answers the phones stepped up. She read my review (and from our many calls she knew my problem with the sprayer). She replaced it! 100%. Sent out what appears to be an upgraded/newer model of the one I had.
I immediately opened up the part that was malfunctioning on the other one, only to see that the design is new and improved. Where the connection from the holding tank goes into the battery/pump compartment is much better now, with much less chance at leakage which will clearly damage the battery and pump. Kudos to Petra for recognizing the flaw and working to fix it. Kudos to Mikki who made sure that I remained a satisfied customer!
I have 15 acres with tons of weeds to kill"¦gravel roads, planter beds, unwanted shrubs, you name it. For years now I have struggled with the sprayers that come with the weed killer and ground clear, having to drag the bottle from place to place and hand pump it to pressurize, or use the even more expensive battery powered ones that never seem to work. So I was excited to finally purchase this 3 gallon back pack sprayer, which made my life so much easier, until it didn't.
It initially worked great, and I loved it so much! I hadn't yet ever had to recharge it. I was able to but less expensive concentrates and mix up large loads of ground clear and the sprayer made quick work of the task. When not in use, it was empty and dry, stored back indoors in the original box.
The last time I took it out (2 weeks ago), it wouldn't work, not a peep, so I assumed it was time to charge it. First time since I bought it so I wasn't concerned. I plugged it in overnight and the next day, nothing. Just a bare whine, but no pressure, no spraying.
I emptied out the weed killer and dried out the canister, then proceeded to troubleshoot it as described in the website. The battery connections looked good, and the charger had a green light saying the battery was good to go. So I opened up the bottom, only to find that the tube connecting the sprayer to the holding tank came off easily, because the hose clamp wasn't tight enough. And because of that there was moisture in the electrical part of the sprayer, with rust showing around the tube and clamp. I checked all of the connections I could see, dried out the compartment and tried again. Still nothing.
So I called the company. And called. And left messages which were never returned, and called again. I finally got someone on the phone who agreed it was a leaky connection, and suggested that I charge it again and then call back. Which I did , but it went to voicemail. I left a message. And then it was the 4th of July weekend so no one was working there, even on the Tuesday.
I purchased a new battery for $35 and tried that today. It didn't work. So clearly something else is wrong, and no one will return the calls for help or even answer the phone in tech support. I've sent an email about this issue through the website as well, but I won't hold out hope.
I now have a $150 doorstop, and have a $35 battery to return to batteries +.
Avoid this company. This product is only 8 months old and treated with care. It should work, or they should help repair it. It has failed on both counts

One of the best purchases I have ever made. Spraying kudzu in North Carolina became so much easier. I purchased a HD3000 and am amazed how much quicker I could the weed killer to the kudzu. After numerous use of the unit, I had a technical problem I was not able to solve. I e-mailed Petratools support and received a phone call within 24 hours. The unit was less than a year old, so 3 days later Jake(support tech) had sent me the parts I needed at no cost to me. Awesome service and will definitely buy a bigger unit at a later date.
