My dog is VERY wiggly. Like it's impossible to get a non blurry-picture of her. This stand helped a lot with her first home grooming. She still wiggled a lot but I didn't use the hip holder properly, I misread the instructions. It comes with 2 cords and one of the cords has 2 padded slings. The instructions say you only need to use one cord but after I finished I realized what they mean is, you use the single loop cord for the neck/collar; the other cord with 2 padded loops is for the hips and you pick one of those loops that is the best height. Maybe if I had done it that way it would have worked better. But even with doing the loops wrong it still helped, don't think I could have cut her hair without it.

What a $$$ saver and life saver this thing is. Here in our area, dog grooming costs have gone through the roof after two years of pandemic (and people buying cats in dogs like crazy to keep them company while cooped up in the house). What we used to pay $45 to $50 for grooming our small (28 pound) dog now costs $80 and THEN the groomer still expects a tip. No can do no more. So we bought this, a good set of electric clippers, watched some YouTube videos and now groom our dog at home. Ain't never gonna pay $80 for a dog groom ever again. :)
