We bought this extra large carrier for our cat who is just slightly too big for a regular size carrier. We set it up right away so he could get used to it before his vet visit. He climb right in and took a nap. I thought that maybe after the vet visit that he wouldn't use it anymore but it has become a safe space for him.
While our cat likes it for how spacious and comfy it is, I love that it collapses flat and that the door is removable. Now that it's just a hangout place for him, it's great that the door is not a tripping hazard for us humans. When the door is attached, its easy to load our cat in.

Iris, the cat, is feral-acting at the vet. I lured her into this carrier with nugget chicken breast. The door is easy to open and close.
The vet gave Iris her shots in the back surgery room ( I heard no cat screams like last time).
Vet said she really liked the carrier and would consider getting one herself.
The carrier has a good design. It does seem a a bit brittle as it is plastic. The hinges are plastic. If it was made of stronger materials, I wouldn't mind paying more for peace -of -mind. I think and 11 pound (or less) cat fits in this carrier. My big boy, Duncan, who weighs 17 pounds will be riding in a dog carrier, not this!
Vet was happy and cat made no peep in carrier. Carrier was easy for me to carry. I like it.

Great carrier for easy access in and out. Only wish it came in medium for a large cat. I purchased the small, then returned it for the larger size.
The small is kind of small for a larger cat , but the larger size is HUGE!! Got a lot of complimemts on it at the vet and love how it folds for easy storage. Please make a medium in this. That would be perfect for larger cats (not that the small wouldn't "do the job", I just think it would be better for the cat.

We have been using the XL version of this carrier for our cat for almost two years. We primarily use it when traveling long distance, in the car for relatively short hops and on travel days when RVing. We line it with an old bath mat, and it is roomy enough to hold a small litter box and food and water dishes, with ample room for the cat to maneuver. It is quite sturdy, although we try to support the bottom when moving the carrier with the cat in it. It folds down quickly and easily for storage. My only caveat is that the latching system was defeated by our (not that bright!) cat on our first RV trip. We thought she was secure and all of a sudden she popped up on the back of the driver's seat!!! We now wrap a Velcro strap around each side of the door/frame and that's contained her so far. :-) Cannot recommend this highly enough!!

I have a big cat, and this carrier had no issues with accommodating him. He had room to be comfortable, and the handle was sturdy enough that I did not fear that it would snap off while carrying him. So far it seems to be very durable. It was super easy to set up, and I love that it can smoothly and quickly fold down flat to be stored under the bed. The side door worked great, and it was easier than a traditional carrier for getting him out at the vet. I also got compliments from the staff at the vet clinic. They had never seen a carrier like it and thought it was great. With so many carriers to choose from, I am so glad I settled on this one.
