Not practical for a VW Atlas or any car with similar steering wheel. Overall great concept and functional for a work station in vehicle or to eat on your break. Has double sides one for a cup (personally I never trusted. Could use for a water bottle but wouldn't recommend a cup.) other side has a spot for a pen holder. Others have asked and no you can't drive with it.
