Updated. There is a setting that is not intuitive but will get portrait pictures to display correctly when the frame is placed landscape and landscape pictures to display correctly when the frame is placed portrait.
Go to Settings, System Settings, Album Settings, and toggle Full Screen OFF. The 1080p display is great, the touch screen is great.

I had heard of digital photo frames and wanted to get one to check them out. Because I had previously purchased a kid's tablet from Dragon Touch and was thoroughly impressed with it, I decided to try the Dragon Touch Modern 10 Digital Picture Frame.

Packaging:
I'm kind of strange, but the look and feel of the packaging of products matters to me. The packaging of the Dragon Touch digital picture frame doesn't disappoint.

The packaging very much reminds me of my experiences with Apple computers/cell phones and Vizio TVs "“ everything that I need to get up and running quickly is right at my fingertips.

You open up the box and our offered a very nice and colorful and easy to understand Getting Started guide, a card with website address to activate a free 2-year warranty, and a detailed User Manual. (note: User manual is in multiple languages "“ English, Spanish, French, German, Italian)

And to top it all off, the digital frame comes with a pre-installed screen protector and a screen cleaning cloth "“ very nice touch!

Setup:
Very easy on screen instructions take you step-by-step through the process. Digital frame and accompanying app on iPhone were all ready to go within 30 minutes.

Features:
I really like the setting that allows me to put the digital frame on a OFF and ON schedule. I set mine up to turn on in morning so I can be greeted by pics of m y family while I'm having my morning coffee.

Can add micro SD card and flash drive and display photos and videos from those as well. In the settings, you can adjust what photos are displayed "“ internal frame storage, micro SD, flash, or any combo of them.

Frame comes with a magnetic charging adapter (like the Apple MacBooks from couple of years ago). And the cord is braided, not the regular pvc type of material "“ another nice touch.

Frame also comes with a cable to use to transfer photos and videos from your computer to the digital frame. The cable has both USB-C and regular USB connectors. This dual connector cable allowed me to connect to both my MacBook Pro plus my older ThinkPad laptop.

Transferring photos and videos to the frame:
Photos and Video can be sent to the frame from your iphone using the OurPhoto app. You can also send photos to the frame via an @ourphoto.cn email address that you create during setup of the device

Your family and friends can also send photos and videos to the frame. They just need to download the OurPhoto app to their iphone or Android phone, you give them your frame ID, and then they attach to your frame. I had my daughter and sister do this, so it does work!

You can also attach the frame to your computer and transfer photos and videos to the frame. The frame comes with a PC Control setting that sets up an ftp transfer. I couldn't get the ftp transfer to work on my MacBook Pro. BUT, no worries on this as I was able to use the Android File Transfer app (downloadable for free on the web). With Android File Transfer, you connect the frame to the MacBook and then you can drag and drop photos and videos to the frame. Transfer from the PC was easier as all I had to do was plug frame into USB drive and Windows 10 recognized it as an external drive.

Overall: Very good digital photo frame that displays your photos and video with really good resolution. Will definitely be recommending this frame to my family and friends.

We have purchased three of these now. First for our son, one for my mom and now for our daughter. It's very easy to get started, upload photos via the app, and program the time it turns off and on. You cans set alarms, check the weather, rotate the photos and select how long you want each photo to display. Definitely recommend this product!

For the specifications I was looking for personally, this model fit perfectly into our busy lifestyle. The app is super convenient for uploading photos on the go and the product itself looks and works great.

I've never purchased a digital photo frame before, and after buying this product, I am very impressed and think this is a great device that I will use often. Really, this could be called a 10-inch Android tablet designed for photo and video playback, because that's what it is. The photo frame was attractively packaged and includes a power adapter, USB-A to USB-C cable, instruction manual and warranty information card, and of course the product itself. The power connector doubles as a stand "” the instructions state that you cannot mount this to a wall, probably because of the power connector/stand that sticks out about 2 inches, but if you really wanted to, you probably could with a little creativity.
Setup was very easy and straightforward: Download the "OurPhoto" app on your phone, plug in the tablet/frame, create an account, follow the instructions on the tablet, and you will have it connected to your account in minutes. The OurPhoto app is very easy to use and allows you to wirelessly send photos and videos to the tablet. You can use the app to take photos, record video, or upload from existing media on your phone. I did notice that when uploading existing videos on my phone through the OurPhoto app, the sound did not play. Not sure if that's an issue with iPhone (my phone) specifically, but if you use the OurPhoto app to record video, the sound does play on the Dragon Touch frame. In addition to the OurPhoto app, the frame allows you to plug in a USB stick via the built in USB port, or connect it to your laptop/computer/phone/tablet via the included USB-A to USB-C cable. You can also copy files via an included FTP server by going into settings on the picture frame, tapping PC Control, and tapping the start button. The frame provides you with a local network address to allow you to connect and copy files from any computer or device on your home network via un-encrypted FTP. Interesting since I don't think many people are familiar with FTP these days, but I tested it and the "PC Control"/FTP feature worked as expected. Copying media from the OurPhoto app is also easy and straightforward. The device allows you to manually accept requests from other people such as friends and family, to allow others to also upload media to the frame from the our photo app. The picture and video quality is very good and the screen brightness allows you to easily see it from across the room, and the touchscreen and interface in general is fast and responsive. The device itself has 16 GB of internal storage, with about 10 GB being available for pictures and videos, and you can also insert up to a 32GB micro SD card for more storage. The user interface allows you to delete and transfer media between USB, micro SD, internal storage, and your OurPhoto account which apparently gives you 10Gb free transfer according to the manual, with additional bandwidth available for purchase. I did not see the option to purchase additional storage, but think it's a great feature that you can upload media via the app from your phone. I can see that being useful if you are away from home and want to quickly share photos and videos with your family at home.

You can also zoom in and out via the touchscreen /pinch zoom, rotate images on the frame, and the frame itself can be physically set up in portrait or landscape mode, with the interface automatically rotating just like your phone or tablet, when you physically rotate the device.

The device also allows you to set it to automatically turn on and off at a specific time every day, and allows you to set slideshow settings. The sound quality is about the same as the sound quality from a phone or a tablet.
During initial setup and later via the settings menu, you can enter your city/location, and view your local weather from the digital frame's Home Screen, a nice feature to have.

Overall, I am very impressed with the Dragon Touch digital frame and appreciate all of the different methods of transferring media to the device, as well as the simple but effective design of the OurPhoto app. I was expecting a device that basically lets you view media from a SD card, but this is pretty much a computer that gives you plenty of options of viewing and sharing your digital photos and videos. The product appearance itself is also nice, and its neutral design should easily blend into your home decor. Definitely a high-end product as far as digital photo frames go!
