great quality, perfect fit for my Breville Bambino

- very nice quality. I worked as a professional barista for a lot of years, and this is a great portafilter!
- immediately improved the quality of my shots (over the original pressurized portafilter that comes with the machine)
- perfect fit for my Breville Bambino espresso machine (you can see it alongside the stock portafilter in my photos)
CONS
- the wood on the ones I received is much darker than the photos in the product description (you can see it in my photos alongside the black stock portafilter I was replacing). I ordered this portafilter, then ordered another in hopes of getting lighter wood and returned the first one. got a replacement that was nearly black, could hardly see the wood grain at all. then tried a third time. all were pretty dark, but it might just be my luck.
would definitely recommend!

Pulls a great shot, but could use some adjustments

Above all, I like to see under the hood and it pulls a great shot. Couple minor things. The handle is a twist on (in case you want to switch wood color stain?). It unscrews quite easily. I'll be looking to glue it tight permanently. Additionally, it's quite a bit messier than my stock Breville portafilter, which is a bit confusing because I use all Matow products (collar and distributor). I would expect it to fit like a glove but grounds leak and scatter more than ever. It's not detrimental, but it makes clean up a hassle.

While it does fit in my Breville Barista Express it is a struggle to get the portafilter in and out of the espresso slot. It does fit, but you really have to do some contortion to get it out.
Works great with Breville Barista Plus.

Another advantage is that it comes with a non-pressurized double basket, which i didn't have because the Bambino Plus only comes with pressurized baskets!!!! Don't have another basket to compare it against, so not completely sure vs other double baskets. Over all, i do recommend, and at the time it was the cheapest one out at around 66 bucks.

I love the look and feel of this portafilter. That said, there are two small issues. Firstly, the included filter basket is of average quality, and you'll likely want to upgrade to an IMS filter down the road. Secondly, the handle tends to come unscrewed quite easily which is annoying. I easily fixed this by applying a dab of loctite threadlocker compound and letting it cure, but would have been nice if this has been thought of by the manufacturer.
