I work outside a lot and I have some fans going around my pole barn. I remembered standing in line at theme parks waiting to be in front of the most spraying. So I bought one of these to try out. I now use this non stop and especially for gatherings and outside parties. Guests get hot they walk in front of the fam for a few seconds and it cools them off. All you need is electricity for your fan and to connect a water hose. The little rubber grommet does fall out very easy from the hose connection so you have to be very careful not to lose it. Other than that I love it. I am using it with a metal shop fan. Not sure how well it would work with a household fan.

Even with a good sealant, he was concerned the water would damage the wood. To be honest, I was too. I was just desperate to find something allowing us to enjoy our back yard again. Let me tell you"¦. We both were super excited to find that not only did it cool us but neither our cedar or ourselves got wet. It has adjustable nozzles so YOU control how much water comes out and in which direction. For instance, our patio gets full sun in the afternoon. So, we angled the nozzles to a more downward position to hit our mid section. Yet, we didn't get wet and we're very comfortable. Hope this helps!

Being in central Texas, it gets pretty hot, so this came in good use, while being outside. The installation was pretty easy-I applied it to a box fan and you secure it with small zip ties. The hose it pretty long and fits nicely to another garden hose or to the water line. It puts out a decent amount of spray, so if you are close to it, you will get pretty wet. I haven't messed with it too much, so not sure if you can adjust the individual nozzles to increase/decrease output, but it doesn't work by changing the water amount from the wall. It was fine for what I was doing, but if someone is wearing nice clothes and doesn't want to get moist, stand back :)
