We've only had these gloves for a few months, but my son uses them 2x a week for his striking class and they seem to be the perfect size/weight for him. He's a bigger/taller 10 year old and was capable of having a 10oz glove rather than the recommended 8oz. His coach said he could get either size, but the 10oz would last longer for him personally. Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase!
