Super happy with my purchase!

Super happy with my purchase (so far)! I've been making dinner's in an Air Fryer lately once a week (Salmon, Steak) and I'd buy Green Beans as a side. Since I only make it once a week and not every weekend, I'd go 1-3 weeks without making them again. Even though I put it in a zip lock bag, obviously they'd go bad and I'd have to throw away the bag. I also froze steak, and sometimes that'd get freezer burn. So after doing that for a while, I got sick of it and went into looking for a Vacuum Sealer Machine to hopefully solve this problem. Found this one on one of their lightning deals and picked it up for $33 bucks or so.
It was pretty easy to learn how to use. Watched a couple videos and after I figured out the placement of where the bags go it was easy peasy. The first thing I did was the Green Beans you see in the picture. Ended up freezing them and they're ready for my next use. I then sealed my potato chip bag's using the Dry setting. This worked great. Seals it proper straight across just like in the photo. I'm def going to be doing my Cereal bags as well when I buy more.
The only con I see which really makes my rating a 4.5/5 then a true 5/5 (didn't want to give it a 4 rating) is I don't see any place for a Power button to turn it on and off. So I just unplug it every time I use it. Don't know what the deal is there.

I had a large food saver years ago and I now live alone so I handed it down to my niece with a growing family. I recently decided to purchase a smaller one for occasional use and this is perfect. It is thin and compact and has great suction power. I also purchased the Amazon freezer bags which work great. They are much less expensive than the brand name.
Love Love Love This Vacuum Sealer

This is the second vacuum sealer I purchased. The first one was another brand and did not provide the suction/sealing power I'd hoped for. I purchased the MegaWise Vacuum Sealer Machine to replace my less effective sealer and have been very satisfied. The suction and sealing are superior to the machine it replaced. I recommend the MegaWise Vacuum Sealer Machine.

The machine works fine"¦ my only objection I have is how very careful you have to be to vacuum seal anything. One must be exactly in the center of the hollow in the center of the unit when u try to seal something"¦ drove me nuts"which I am ðŸ˜" until I got it figured out . But I do like that it is compact an light and with a bit of practice it does work well
After using for awhile my review is...

This thing works! I've been hesitant ever buying one of these things because I never really thought they'd be that good. I've been trying to be better at saving money buying certain things in bulk and figured why not give this thing a try and see if it helps me out. I'm glad I did. I bought this one sale with a few rolls of bag film so that I could make my own size bags as needed. It has been a blast to use, and so far seem to do a fantastic job at what it is meant to do - SEAL the bags.
I've packaged all kinds of meat (steak, burger, fish, chicken, turkey and pork). Not one issue with any of them. I've also packaged some things on a more temporary basis like vegetables just to see if it helped me extend their life - and it has. My freezer is now well stocked with proteins, and my fridge has a drawer full of fresh veggies that I indulge on when they are on sale and now can actually use before they go bad.
Now, for the bad things about this unit - which I assume will be similar to ANY piece of equipment meant to do this same thing.
1) Make sure you dry out the inner part of the bag after you fill it where the seal is going to be. Even the slightest bit of moisture will prevent a good quality seal. Just do it, even if you don't think you need to.
2) The bag cutter works, but it's not the best in the world. Make sure you line it up straight, hold it down tight, and slowly cut across. No quick actions here, it's not a paper cutter! Be careful, and it works well.
3) Give it a rest period on large jobs. It does get hot and if you're filling 10 bags quickly it becomes hotter than I would like it to. Just give it a minute to cool down and I'm sure it will last a long time. I have never had it overheat, or stop working, I just noticed that it was warmer to the touch than I liked after abusing it with a counter full of steaks.
4) Clean it! It is a vacuum after all, and there is a possibility it sucks out some juice as it goes. I've only noticed a drop in the tray with all the meat I've done, but it was chicken juice and I wouldn't want that staying in there uncleaned. There is a small concaved chamber behind the sealer - just check it and make sure it's clean. You'll be happy you spent the 1.5 seconds to do so.
5) Not necessary, but I do with it came with a bag, or a case of some kind. Just to minimize any clutter. Definitely not a deal breaker, but just an idea for an upgraded model maybe :)
All in all, I love it and wish I would have gotten one a lot earlier.
