Thin but warm

I got this as a present for my father. The inside lining is very soft and warm, but the hat is fairly thin.
Little tight, attracts dog fur.

I was looking for a replacement hat for the one I lost. (Darn, I loved that hat) I have a fairly small head, I typicall use headphones on their smallest headband setting. This hat is a little tight even on me. It's not uncomfortable, but I have not worn the hat for more than ~45minutes yet, I wonder if I will get hotspots on my ears after hours of use. Also the fabric looked like the same "acrylic" type of thread that my old hat was made of, which is why I bought this one. But it's just a little softer and "fluffier" which really attracts the dog fur, imho.
Also, the inside of this hat is lined with faux-fur. I did not notice this from the pictures until I got it. If you do not want this, maybe stay away, as this hat is probably a fair bit warmer than my old hat which is a blessing and a curse, I suppose.
The "brim" is stitched in place, particularly where their leather logo is, perhaps in other places too. What I'mm getting at is you cannot fold more or less fabric into the fold/brim, it's one size fits all. So if this hat doesn't fit your head perfectly there might be a little extra material on the top of your head that is un-filled and loose unless the brim is over your eyes. Just a styling issue for some, I suppose, especially those with smaller heads.
So far the hat suits me and feels good quality. This is not a bad hat by any means, just a few niggles. I can see those with larger heads feeling that this is just too tight, however, so be careful.

Enough if you want to pull it down over your eyes you can it's warm enough it's very well insulated. You can also pull it down in the back over your ears and your neck when it gets cold wonderful hat. Also, the color is very easy to spot.
